I am taking a portrait painting class at The Visual Art Institute in Salt Lake. Recently we were working on the delicate forms, values and color changes of the eye in oil. We are painting from master works, photographs and soon a live model. In the photos you can see that we place the colors we make with paint dabs above and below the composition to help remind us of the colors we mixed for future reference. The field of visual art is so vast and wide, there will never be enough time to explore all it’s various facets, but I am going to try!
