According to ancient cultures the fragrance of lilacs could transport humans into fairyland. The sweet scent definitely is magical if not nostalgic. Nature was having fun with me on this piece by floating endless cottonwood tree puffies into the paint. Then a wild spring storm came in, swirling my still life to the ground.
